Book sale and book news!

Hi, lovelies!

I wanted to let you know that Tors and I are running a rolling sale of the Untamed series books. What does that mean?

Untamed (Untamed #1) is FREE this week until Friday, January 16.

Starting this Thursday, January 15, Out of Control (Untamed #2) goes on sale for 99c for one week.

The following week Escaped Artist (Untamed #3) will be 99c. And then Wild at Heart (Untamed #4) and Rebel Roused (Untamed #5) will follow suit—a six week long rolling promotion!

So if you haven't picked up the books yet, now is the best time to get them. And if you HAVE read and loved them, then please spread the love by telling your friends about our sale!

And for those of you waiting for Dash's series UNBOUND, it's coming! Tors and I are hard at work on it and will have covers, blurbs, and snippets to share over the next several weeks as we polish it all up real pretty for you. We're doing things a little differently with Dash, and we'll be telling you about that as well in the coming weeks. We're so excited about Dash and Wren's story, and can't wait to share it with you!

Update on REBEL ROUSED

So, Tors and I have been talking, and we're going to have to push back the release date of Rebel Roused (Untamed #5) to the end of August. 

We hate to do this--to make you wait a *little* longer--but we've both had family stuff come up recently (and more coming in the near future) that has slowed down our progress. It's REALLY important to us that this last book of Dare and Ree's saga be an AMAZING conclusion to their epic love story, and we need to have enough time to do that. 

We hope you all understand.

Going Exclusive to Amazon with Kindle Unlimited

This past week, Amazon revealed a new subscription service for readers in the US called Kindle Unlimited. For $9.99/month, readers can borrow up to 10 books at a time, borrowing an unlimited number of books over the course of a month as returns are made. (You can even try it out for free with a 30-day free trial.)

Tors and I are thinking this may be the perfect way for readers to experience serials like our Untamed Series, and we've decided to try it out by placing our books into Amazon's Select program. Problem is, that means our books will be exclusive to Amazon.

We don't want to leave any of our readers out by going exclusive, but the fact is that over 95% of our sales come through Amazon, and if this new service can help more readers find and enjoy the Untamed Series, we've got to give it a try.

So we're going to make the switch next weekend (July 26/27), and we wanted to let you all know right now in case you were in the middle of the first four books, so you could get them from Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, or Google Play before we take them down at the end of the week.

We also wanted to assure you that the final book in the series WILL BE available EVERYWHERE when it comes out on August 12. Rebel Roused (Untamed #5) will be for sale at all of our regular retailers for about 2 weeks to give everyone a chance to pick it up before we add it into the Kindle Unlimited service as well.

Also, if you miss picking up a copy of any of the books at one of the other stores, it doesn't mean you have to miss out! We have a simple solution (though it takes an extra step or two). Being exclusive to Amazon means we cannot sell you the book ourselves, but we CAN email you the right file for your ereader if you can show us that you purchased the book on Amazon--you send us your receipt, we'll send you the epub file for your Nook/iBooks/Sony/Kobo reader. (Or you can pick up the Kindle app for free to read on your phone or tablet, as well.)

We are so grateful for all of your continuing support and enthusiasm! Tors and I are hard at work on Rebel Roused, and are so much looking forward to sharing it with you in August.

Untamed Series news!

Tors and I have been writing like crazy, working on Wild At Heart (Untamed #4) so we can get it into your hands as soon as possible, so we're just popping in really quickly to tell you some GREAT news about the rest of the series.

We have decided to combine books 5 and 6 into ONE LONG FINAL EPISODE, giving you your Happily Ever After SOONER! <3 This means our Untamed Season will now end with book 5.
 
Wild at Heart will be coming out at the end of this month, and then Rebel Roused (Untamed #5) will be released at the end of July.

In August we'll bundle up the whole series into one ridiculously long book (800+ pages!) for you lovelies who've been patiently waiting to marathon Ree and Dare's epic saga.

The Structure and Style of the Untamed Series

Tors and I have been getting some questions about how the Untamed Series is structured, what makes it different from other serials, so I thought I'd take a moment to explain what we're doing with our series in The Brothers Wilde Collection.

First of all, we liken each book to an episode of your favorite TV drama--it tells a complete part of a continuing saga. The entire Untamed Series is NOT one book, one story. It is a SEASON of stories, giving you a greater glimpse into the lives of Dare Wilde and Reagan McKinley than you could ever get in a stand-alone novel. You are getting so much more of these characters in this serial format...which we specifically chose because we've found that our readers always want more. :-)

And while one book leads into the next, each one has a definite beginning, middle, and end. There is conflict, climax, and resolution in every single book--they are not simply pieces of a longer book chopped into shorter sections. Tors and I work very hard to create a completely satisfying story in each episode, taking our readers on a wild, roller-coaster ride of emotions that culminates in a wonderful moment of Ahh!...before we leave you hanging at the end, lol.

Yes, each one ends on a cliffhanger, just like TV shows often do, leaving viewers aching for the next episode. Who was it that said, "Always leave them wanting more"? They were totally right. :-P

Secondly, our books are considered short novels, at over 40,000 words. Each book is about 2/3 the length of a longer romance novel. So 5 episodes = 3.5 longer novels (costing about $4.25 each, in the end). 

Once the last episode is completed, we will be putting them all together into a boxed set for those readers who'd like to read the entire series at once. At this point we're not sure whether we will be making the boxed set into paperbacks. It's something we're considering. We haven't made each individual episode into singular physical books because it would be too expensive--too much money for too few pages because paper books are more expensive to make than digital ones. Of course, all 5 episodes bundled together would be about 900 pages long.

This series is also finite--our Untamed Season is 5 episodes long. No more, no less. So there is absolutely zero chance of you getting to the end of the last book and finding a to-be-continued ending. Reagan and Dare will get their happily every after in book five. And then we will move on to writing the Unbound Series, starring rock-star bad boy Dash Wilde, this fall. (And, oh my god, Tors and I are so excited about his season of stories!)
